Diego Garcia

Hola! My name is Diego! I was born in São Paulo, Brasil but grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I’m a rock climbing, rappelling and Via Ferrata instructor. I moved to the Red with my wife and two kids in 2021, making this my 4th season working at Southeast Mountain Guides. Although this has been a big change from living on a small tropical island, we truly enjoy the beauty of the Red River Gorge and its super friendly and humble locals. Besides climbing, I also enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, trail running and surfing (back in PR). My favorite restaurants at the Gorge are La Cabaña, Skybridge, Miguel’s and Red Point BBQ.
