Sunset Park, TN
Known for its fantastic single pitch trad climbing, Sunset Park is located just outside of Chattanooga. It makes for a great summer location as it’s shaded from the sun well after lunchtime. Experience Sunset Park’s splitter crack climbs for yourself!

Where to Stay
If you are making more than a day trip, there are camping options at Tennessee Wall and Prentice Cooper State Forest. Both of these are primitive campsites and come on a first come first serve basis so plan accordingly!

Ijams, TN
Ijams is located just east of Knoxville in the heart of the city's urban wilderness. It hosts a great range of sport climbs from 5.6 all the way up to 5.13, making it a great place for climbers of all abilities to test and hone their skills! This park also hosts a number of other activities such as bike trails, kayaking and miles of hiking through the wetlands.
NOTE that for this location we recommend a HALF DAY for beginner climbers.
Ijams Meeting Location

Southlake Park and Campground 3730 Maryville Pike, Knoxville is a great option and a little less than 10 miles away!

You can check availability and pricing and make a reservation online or you can call our reservation specialist at

2 Days Prior to your
Reserved Date
You will receive a call from your instructor(s). We will gather info about your climbing experience and any goals you might have. We will discuss an equipment list including obtaining your climbing shoe, harness and helmet sizes. You will pay in full for your trip at this time.
Day of Reservation
Meet your Instructor at the designated parking area (see your confirmation email for details). Head to the crag. Some locations may require a few minutes drive and hiking from 5-40 minutes.
Crush it!
Begin with basic belay instruction at the cliff and start climbing! Continue to climb and learn as the instructor helps to hone your skills and provide direction for the day.
Wrap Up
The instructor will leave you with a brief outline of things for you to continue to focus on or plans for what will be covered on your next trip.
